Minimalism is often underrated, but a slight overall sheen with a peachy flush can easily overshadow a dramatic look. Proving this to be the way to go was the make-up at Dior’s Haute Couture Fall '15 show, where the creative and image director of Dior make-up, Peter Philips created a natural look, inspired by the beauty of 17th century Flemish paintings.
The face had a hint of wet-look with a radiant glow, the eyes were bare with a touch of coral shadow and the lips, a glossy nude. "The make-up reveals a very pure aesthetic," explains Philips. "I designed it to accompany Raf Simons’ modern collection. It suits the spectacular volume of the unconventional silhouettes, presenting an ethereal, yet very contemporary heroine."

Complexion: To get the ultimate look of a slight sheen on a wet-look face, Philips blended Diorskin Star Fluid Foundation into the skin for a flawless base. He fixed the redness and blemishes with the Fix It stick, and finished it with touches of Skinflash for a transparent look.
Eyes: The eyes were kept bare except for a ring of translucent peachy coral created using Diorshow Mono in Pareo. Philips delicately dabbed the shadow on the lids using his fingertips, blending it out towards the temples.
Lips: The natural, transparent shine was achieved using Lip Maximizer, patted slightly on the lips.
Hair: Gentle long waves fell loose over the shoulder, created by celebrity stylist Guido Palau.
