She started her career in the movies at an early age of 16, and since then, has had a whirlwind of a ride through blockbuster hits and path breaking roles. Our August 2015 cover star, Rani Mukerji, truly personifies the age(less) issue.
Always true to her delicate, elegant personality—her Bong genes are evident in that dusky glow and caramel eyes. Let’s look at the reigning Rani’s beauty evolution over the years.
Through all the years, a lot has changed, but the one feature that remains a constant, as Mukerji’s make-up favourite are her eyes. Accentuating her best feature, she’s tried different variations of the smokey eye, glittery shadows and long lashes that have always complemented her light bambi eyes.
When it comes to lip shades, nude is clearly her go-to hue: from 2006 till 2011, she’s done everything from the glossy peach to a matte beige—pairing it with intense eyes to balance the look. It is from 2012 that she ventured into the bright bold territory of the reds. But it was only in 2014 that the star really experimented with colours—think deep burgundys and dark magentas.
With each year, Rani Mukerji has upped her beauty game, but 2015 really is her year when it comes to acing her make-up—from chiseled highlighted cheeks and rosy lips to a bold red pucker and a Grecian updo—she tried it all. At the recent Vogue Beauty Awards 2015, she opted for subtle smokey eyes and a peachy pink lip, and added the final bridal touch with starkly visible sindoor.
Looking back until now, our cover star Rani Mukerji, does it all and more in the August 2015 issue.
