Culture Fix: Your guide to a Vogue weekend

Every week, Vogue gives you a cultural calendar comprising the best of music, art, photography, food and fashion. Tune in for an adrenaline-filled weekend with the Skyscraper Dash and Mud Rush, interspersed with a concert by Dualist Inquiry along with an art exhibition by Julien Segard.

If you're in Mumbai…

Join a cooking class
Whether you're tired of eating the same eggs and toast for breakfast, or are simply seeking to expand your culinary experience, this class is for you. Learn how to whip up healthy breakfast options like tofu burritos, chocolate and cherry pukkolla and even a mango and greens smoothies; perhaps the best way to spend your lazy Sunday afternoon.

Get muddy this monsoon
Expected to be harder than ever, The Mud Rush is a 5+ kilometer, all-terrain marathon including everything tasks with barrier walls, water bodies, fire, ice and of course, lots of mud. Great for both beginners looking for fun, as well as athletes attempting to push their mental and physical strength, we've got our game on for this.

Watch radical cinema

Put together by filmmaker Ashim Ahluwalia, Unknown Territories: Radical Cinema 1963-2012, is a series of short films including works by American, Finnish, Korean and Iranian film directors and is definitely a must-watch for all those of you interested abstract and poetic works.

Attend a Book Launch

Launched by Filter Press, Painful People is author Cyrus Daruwala's second book, with each copy hand-stamped personally by the author, and with only 1000 copies available in print. The launch will feature and exhibition of his work as well as the book's journey, presented by Cyrus Daruwala himself.

If you're in Bengaluru…

Embrace Dualism

Delhi-based electronica artist Sahej Bakshi, better known by his stagename Dualist Inquiry is as talented as he is good-looking, which says a lot about him. A staple at big-ticket music festivals in India like Weekender and Sunburn, he will bring his brand of  live electronica and guitar-based rock to Bengaluru this weekend.

Take part in a skyscraper dash…

Known as India's tallest tower race, Skyscraper Dash involves the climbing (or even better, running) hundreds of stairs under four different categories divided by difficulty. Why this chase? The race leads up to a rooftop party with food, beverages and DJs. Definitely a new drinking game that tests your mental and physical abilities, but not without appropriate rewards at the end.

If you're in Delhi…

Watch a broadcast of Everyman

British theatre at its best, Everyman follows the story of a man, who is forced to deal with the constantly approaching nature of death. As he finds a way to first escape death, and then finally accept it, significant, thought-provoking questions arise about life after death, and the true meaning of life, following in the footsteps of the 15th century drama.

If you're in Kolkata…

Attend Segard's art exhibition

Julien Segard's debut solo exhibition, Anywhere But Here, is filled with works that explore the underlying intimacy shared between the sharpness of urban structures, and free-flowing quality of nature. Showcasing both installations and paintings, this thought-provoking exhibition is definitely one to visit.
