Style evolution: Kajol

Kajol's wardrobe has more often than not favoured earthy hues and steered clear of OTT embellishment.

From a staple of Manish Malhotra saris and anarkalis between 2009 and 2011, the star has come a long way. 2012 saw the actor try her hand at everything from an Ayesha Depala gown at the Vogue Beauty Awards to a Prabal Gurung dress and a Dev r Nil maxi, all in varying shades of mocha.

Come 2013, the actor discovered Shehla Khan's pastel saris and Anushka Khanna's boho-chic dresses and there was no looking back since. It's not just the silhouettes that she experimented with (case in point: her Shehla Khan pantsuit), the colours in her wardrobe too took a brighter turn.

Today, Kajol juggles bright hues and muted tones effortlessly: Some of her best looks in the recent past include a bright yellow Payal Pratap ensemble, a mint green Manish Malhotra and a vintage Sabyasachi – all different, all carried off with perfect ease.
