Beauty evolution: Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez is a bit of a beauty chameleon—veering between the sweet girl next door and the sultry bombshell. Of Sri Lankan and Malay-Canadian descent, she won the Miss Sri Lanka Universe title in 2006 and three years later made her way into Bollywood.

On the silver screen

2009 saw her first release; Aladin, in which she played a character inspired by the Disney princess Jasmine. Heavy kohl-rimmed eyes, a centre part and a side braid made for a memorable look.

2010 saw her in Houseful with lustrous locks, smoky eyes and a frosted pink lip.

2011's Murder 2 really upped her ante on sultry. Who can forget that beach scene with windswept hair, deep eyes and a golden tan and legs that went for miles. Her burnished skin and messy side braid in the "Haale Dil" song took sexy to a whole new level.

2012's Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen saw her experimenting with big voluminous hair.

In 2013 Jacqueline was part of the blockbuster Race 2 and her neon pink mouth, dramatic winged liner and thick lashes heralded a change. The drama continued in Kick in 2014 where she sported a bombshell blowout and mile-long lashes.

In 2015 with Roy, her "Chittiyan Kalaiyan" look of textured waves and a soft pink lip became a summer staple. And now, as the cover star of our July 2015 issue of Vogue India, she sizzles in a sheer panelled Zahir Murad couture gown, a fire engine red mouth and glossy side-swept waves.

On the red carpet

One to champion the bright lip and the glossy mane, Fernandez seriously upped her game form heavy handed bronzer in 2011 to a sleek braided updo and rose-nude lips at the GQ Men of the Year awards a year later.  2015 has seen her rule the IIFA green carpet with an acid pink lip and cat eyes, and sleek hair with super-plumped lashes at the Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards.
