Vashtie and PUMA's latest collaboration features India

The hip hop subculture has amassed a following not only consecrated to music, but also to appropriations surrounding it. Sneaker culture—a tributary of the mothership is a heady vien that has contributed to the social history of footwear bringing the subculture into mainstream fashion.

New York-based DJ and music producer Vashtie Kola has blended her sense of style, swagger and learnings from the School of Visual Arts and collaborated with PUMA for a second collection of clothing and kicks. Much like the street style star, the collection is devoid of frills. The campaign of the collection was shot in India by Trashand.

New York subway or Mehar Chand market, the collection first seen on Rihanna, has a gobal magnetism for all in favour of sweatshirts and gold kicks.
