The obessesion with designer and sports brand collaborations doesn’t seem to die down—and why should it, when it looks as good as Mary Katrantzou's ongoing one with Adidas? A mix of sportwear and sports- inspired clothing and accessories, the line of garments and footwear is done in signature Katrantzou prints. "The shoes this season are more closely connected to their apparel counterparts, offering the bolder of our customers the chance to wear a print from head to toe," says Katrantzou.
The London-based designer hails from a print-making background from Central Saint Martins and does an eclectic take on her medium each season. Rich with colour—without being overbearing—the collection references sportsmen and sporting accessories from the '80s and also includes graphics of boxing gloves and tennis rackets.
Unlike her previous collaboration with Adidas, the Spring/Summer 2015 line is done in brighter colours, has a more fun approach to the sports theme and is bound to stir some serious envy on the gym floor.
Vogue recommends: The colour blocked sneakers with synchronised swimmer print.
Adidas Originals by Mary Katrantzou Spring/Summer 2015 is available online now.
