No matter how many runway shows you may have attended in your career span, the excitement surrounding each fashion week grand finale is a specific brand of neurosis that crackles from under all the poise and elegance.
Closing Lakmé India Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015 will be avante garde specialist Gaurav Gupta, in what will be his first ever finale show. "Of course it's very exciting! This year, LFW completes 15 years and Gaurav Gupta, 10 years, so it's a milestone moment in my career. There's much to be done; I am yet to work on the logistics and details," said the nervous, yet pleased designer.
After spectacular closing shows at Lakmé India Fashion Week by Anamika Khanna (Summer/Resort 2015) and Manish Malhotra (Winter/Festive 2014), Gaurav Gupta will be the latest to join the ranks of the chosen few. He intends to go with the flow and deliver a show that's true to him and create a beautiful moment.
Venues may get cancelled at the very last minute, shows may by held up due to bad weather, bouncers may have to triple up the security—or whatever other adversity the universe might throw at us—the show will go on.
Bring it on, all or nothing.
