Bollywood wedding wear inspiration: brights

Vogue

If you're off to a monsoon wedding, take cues from the best of Bollywood—a crew of women who've worn everything from hot fuchsias to acid greens.

It was first in 2012 that Anushka Sharma picked a multi-hued Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla anarkali at Genelia Deshmukh's wedding reception, while Jacqueline Fernandez played with a bright shade of mustard. And ever since, the ensembles have only become brighter.

While 2013 saw Kangana Ranaut don an emerald sari for Udita Goswami's big day, Deepika Padukone picked an orange drape for Ahana Deol's reception in the February of 2014. The year ended with two big weddings: Arpita Khan's reception saw Sonakshi Sinha make a statement in red and gold, while the guests at Manish Malhotra's niece's wedding included a parade of ladies in pink—including Priyanka Chopra, Sridevi, Sophie Choudry and Urmila Matondkar.

This year kicked off with Soha Ali Khan's wedding, where Malaika Arora Khan picked a Preeti S Kapoor lehenga accentuated with gold, pink and orange. Richa Chadda stepped out for Tulsi Kumar's wedding this March in a royal blue SVA ensemble, and Vidya Balan attended in her trademark sari, this time in a deep red.

Vogue's gallery is just the answer to all your wedding-wear questions.
