Style was the epicenter of Matthew Weiner's award winning series 'Mad Men'. It was never the magnitude and scale of production that made the series distinct among its competitors, but the always-complete, flawless attention to the most minute of details that made it seem so utterly believable.
Never one to spare disturbing life events, the show's storyline gave the stressed, depressed but well dressed meme a whole new meaning. Ranging from the early '60s to the '70s the costume department has carefully styled each character with precision and perfection. From the way drinks were poured and Betty’s full skirts to Megan’s short hemlines and the hundred of suits we've seen over the years—the characters of Mad Men made the past seem like an incredibly chic place to be in.
In the light of the series finale, Vogue takes a look at the currently trending throwback '70s style you can don (forgive the pun) to revel in the nostalgia.
