3 quick questions with a vintage lover

Yuveer Kaurnachund

Vintage Saloon, a fresh new vintage pop-up, is the perfect haunt for all those who love scoring one-of-a-kind pieces for their wardrobes. Vogue catches up with Anjli Vyas, the curator behind the collection.

How did this project come about?

The project is a result of my relationship with vintage for the last 15 years. Since graduating in 2008, I noticed ethical fashion and sustainability taking centre stage. Furthermore, I began to care less for volume of clothes and more about quality, sustainable fabrics and one-off pieces.

Where are the pieces sourced from?

The collection has been sourced from across India; Mumbai, Delhi, Goa and Shillong.

Tell us about the designer pieces from the collection you love

My two favorite pieces are the Black Mamba Dress- it has an '80s silhouette similar to the Row and the black leather bomber, an oversized '70s jacket that is embossed with faint leopard print.

Saloon Vintage's pop-up sale will be held at Hive 50-A, Huma Mansion, Chuim village road, Khar West, Mumbai on May 203 and 24 from 10am -10pm.  September onward, the pop-up will run monthly.
