Best dressed this week

It's like a secret memo was sent out through the Bollywood family this week: "Don't step out until you're sparkling head-to-toe."

Katrina Kaif kicked off the week with a shimmering baby pink Jenny Packham gown, followed by Nimrat Kaur in a sequinned number by the same name. Just days later, Malaika Arora Khan stepped out in a gunmetal Namrata Joshipura, and Lucy Liu married elegance and simplicity in her beaded black Naeem Khan.

White was a definite favourite colour this week. Sonam Kapoor chose the hue twice: first, with a sculpted Ashi Studio gown, then with a gold-embroidered House of Kotwara lehenga. Kangana Ranaut chose a Vrisa kurta and Vidya Balan picked an ivory sari. Sridevi chose Manish Malhotra once again, but this time, it was a western silhouette for her. The actor paired her embellished cream top with structured pants the colour of cold coffee.

Further away from home, Kim Kardashian paired her snowy Narciso Rodriguez ensemble with a customised Olympia Le Tan clutch (look closely and you'll see an animated Mr and Mrs West on the bag, sharing a kiss on their wedding day), Naya Rivera dressed her baby bump in a simple white Tadashi Shoji gown, and both Jennifer Connelly and Elisabeth Moss chose white looks printed with black.
