A closer look at the Tommy Hilfiger dresses at the Met Gala

Every year, designers dress their muse(s) for the Met Gala. This year, New York-based designer Tommy Hilfiger dressed three models to match the Costume Institute’s exhibit of the year 'China: Through the Looking Glass' theme.

Brand ambassador Behati Prinsloo was in a midnight blue velvet dress with sheer panels and tassel detail from the Hilfiger collection. Chinese model Shu Pei Qin was spotted in a custom designed burgundy velvet and georgette long sleeve gown with gold-beaded floral embroidery, also from the Hilfiger collection. The designer also dressed supermodel Karolina Korkova in a red minidress with bell sleeves. "Karolina's dress pays tribute to the enduring influence of Eastern artistry on popular fashion with its daring silhouette and brilliant red hue," said Hilfiger.
