Rupert Sanderson Opening Footwear Pop-up in Dubai

GOLDEN SOLE: An exclusive collection of 24-karat gold-leafed shoes are on the menu for clients in Dubai during a two-week pop-up shop for footwear designer Rupert Sanderson. “This is a place that allows you to be indulgent and luxurious — shopping and fashion are so much a part of people’s lives here. The mall is open until midnight; even I want to shop here,” said the Sanderson, who is launching the capsule collection at Level Shoe District at The Dubai Mall. The pop-up is open until May 3. The London-based designer created 14 exclusive versions of his Gold Pebble style in a range of satin jewel-tone colors for the Middle East. “When it comes to launching a satellite location, you need to have something only the client can get here. That’s part of the experience,” he said. With his third store opening in Hong Kong next month, Sanderson is eyeing opportunities for more international expansion into the Middle East. “This is great testing ground for me,” he said.
