While we are mourning the tragic loss of the Nepal earthquake—human, heritage and otherwise—we must also step up and reach out.
Within hours of the disaster, Nepalese-American designer Prabal Gurang addressed the cause on social media and stepped forth to aid his hometown; you can support his foundation here. In a similar effort, photographer Rohan Shrestha will be leaving for Nepal in the next few days with a team of two medics and a disaster management expert, in the hope of reaching out to the more-affected, lesser-rescued areas. Further, you can also donate through the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.
While you keep Nepal in your prayers, you can also play an active part in enabling it to rise above the rubble.
