Culture fix: Your guide to a Vogue weekend

Tune in for a musical weekend—expect everything from a live video connection to Tomorrowland in Belgium, a tribute to Pink Floyd by Livewire and an EDM concert by DJ Aqeel.

Pull out your retro moves

Spanning a range of genres, from rock 'n' roll, to blues and even a bit of disco—Retro Night by The Other People features a night of recreating classics by artists like Elvis Presley, Bob Marley and Bob Dylan, amongst others. Put on your dancing shoes and groove your way into a night you're sure to remember.

Glance into the mirror of Tomorrowland

Can't make it to Belgium this year? Let Tomorrowland come to you instead. Think a live video connection from arguably the biggest music festival in the world—and join the crowd as artists such as Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike entertain you.
When: July 25, 11pm

Get a taste of Thai food

Hosted by the JW Marriott Hotel, and in association with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Thai Street food festival will is just what you need to tingle those taste buds. With a wide range of signature dishes, from Steamed Fish in Banana Leaf to Thai Pancakes in Coconut milk, this food festival is sure to give you a taste of the oriental.

Practice your penmanship

Calligraphy for Beginners, a workshop conducted by Subhash Gondhale, and focusing on the Roman and Devnagiri script is your gateway to master the perfect strokes and flicks of the wrist—and a creative way to spend an otherwise lazy rainy afternoon.

If you're in Pune…

Sing-along to Pink Floyd

The world-touring band Livewire will be in India to pay tribute to the English rock band: Pink Floyd. We don't need no education—we just need a rock concert.

Rock out to Parikrama

Reputedly the pioneers of rock 'n' roll in India, the Delhi-based band Parikrama will be performing live in Pune this weekend—and we can already hear the drumming.

If you're in Delhi…

Attend DJ Aqeel's concert

Having previously entertained Bill Clinton and Kofi Annan, DJ Aqeel stands tall as the only Indian DJ to have filled concert-size venues internationally. Whether you're in the mood for Lady Gaga or Bollywood remixes, the I Love EDM concert is bound to keep you raving for weeks after.
