All things Japanese-inspired you need

Andrew GN

Fashion's obsession with Japan seems to never end—obi belts, kimono jackets, flatforms—not to mention the undivided love towards sushi bars, Uniqlo and Matcha tea. What you think is what you create, and it’s no wonder we are tracing Japanese-inspired trends on the runway and almost everywhere else.

Fancy a slice of the land of the rising sun? Add a painted screen in your living room or a floral reading chair in your study. For a more obvious take on things, slip into a kimono jacket on a Sunday morning run to the bakery or an evening of poetry reading. Ragini Ahuja’s tunic—complete with stork applique—detail is for the hard core fans of the land.

But if your heart is pretty much where your taste buds lie, a hand-painted porcelain plate will assume a place of pride in your home.
