In Marrakech
Try smoky, spicy cocktails such as Clinique Aromatics in White and Viktor & Rolf SpiceBomb that complement the sights, sounds and smells of the Moroccan souks.
In Ibiza
Try floral-woody mixes such as Chanel Les Exclusifs de Chanel Misia and Carolina Herrera 212 Club Edition—perfect
for those famed parties when you won't be home before sunrise.
In Koh Samui
Try sweet, citrusy fragrances like L'Eau D'Issey Summer 2015 and Roberto Cavalli Paradiso that offset the salty beach air, just right for a laid-back summer of sun worship.
In Cote D’Azur
Try Chloé Love Story and Salvatore Ferragamo Emozione. Even if you didn't make it to the French Riviera for February's Fête du Mimosa, these powdery, floral fragrances will fill you with all the optimism of spring.
In New York
Try crisp, green scents like L'Occitane Verbena Frisson and Carven L'Eau De Toilette, reminiscent of Manhattan's many parks. One whiff and you're transported to the High Line, the bustling oasis in the city.
In Darjeeling
Try energizing and uplifting scents like Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber and Elizabeth Arden Green Tea with refreshing notes of tea and bergamot that capture the scenic beauty of the hill station.
1. Base: Start with the liquid base for your blend. Pour milk, water, nut milks, or coconut water into your blender. 1-2 cups
2. Add fruits/greens: Choose a combination of your favourite fruits. If you're making a green smoothie, pair kale, spinach or lettuce with a fruit to add sweetness. 2 cups of chopped fruits or 1 cup of greens + 1 cup of chopped fruit
3. Plus protein: Add a heaped spoonful of protein powder or nut butter. If you have a powerful enough blender, toss in a handful of whole nuts instead of protein powder. Skip this step if you're using milk or nut milks as your smoothie base. 1 tbsp protein powder/nut butter or 10 nuts
4. For flavour: Amp up the flavour with herbs or spices. Mint, cinnamon and basil are failsafe flavour boosters. ½ cup chopped herbs or 1 tsp spice
5. Final booster: Finish your smoothie with superfoods like chia seeds, maca, goji or acai berries, spirulina or bee pollen to make it extra healthy. 2 tsp superfood
If you're wondering what shoes you should be rocking this spring, look no further. Vogue gives you a list of what you need to own more of, and what you need to get rid of STAT!
The Gladiator: The ultimate boho (S/S '15's biggest trend) staple.
Texture: Anything with tassels and fringe is what you need to add to your shopping list pronto.
Wood bottoms, sneakers and espadrilles: It's all about functionality and embracing modern, simple life. Make these a closet staple, and make sure not to go for the obvious choice when pairing. Wear your sneakers with a dress, for example.
Kitten heels: Go high or go home!
Sneaker wedges: Just no, it's over.
The Austrian town Wattens has earned its spot on travel guides courtesy the Swarovski Kristallwelten, popularly known as the Swarovski Crystal Worlds to its visitors who curiously navigate its 14 circuitous chambers.
Swarovski crystals are widely consumed in the fashion industry as a premium creative material for surface embellishments. Complementing the Swarovski sparkle were the guests who attended the twin celebration marking the 120th anniversary of the brand—and the reopening of the Kristallwelten.
The brand brought in designer friends such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Mary Katrantzou, Iris Van Herpen, Peter Pilotto—and Rodarte, in attendance by way of FKA Twigs' look for the evening. The guest-list for the night also included fashion photographer Nick Knight and jewellery designer Stephen Webster.
While Swarovski Musik Wattens, the Tyrolean musical ensemble established by Daniel Swarovski in 1900 were the live soundtrack for the occasion, the highlight was an impromptu performance by British singer-songwriter FKA Twigs.
Evenings like these shine brighter when celebrated in museums that take you to worlds of fantasy.
Mumbai’s hot, humid summer can only be survived in style with breezy fabrics, skater skirts and mini dresses.
Miss Vogue cover star Alia Bhatt shares the belief. This week, she stepped out in a multi-coloured Izzue number, paired with a summer-perfect Edie Parker clutch.
Another to follow the girl-next-door look was Shraddha Kapoor. After attending the Colors Party in a Philipp Plein skater skirt, the star promoted her upcoming film in a coral fit-and-flare Ankita by Ankita Choksey number. Reese Witherspoon's embellished David Koma dress at the ACM Awards gave the A-line silhouette a party makeover.
Florals made their appearance this week as well: Madhuri Dixit-Nene picked a white salwar kameez by Rohit Bal spotted with oversized roses, while Malaika Arora Khan chose a more intricate pattern with her Rahul Mishra dress. Olvia Palermo's Marchesa pick went one step further with the nature-inspired vibe—there's no missing the 3D vine embroidery all over her dress.
If we had to pick one star who owned the red carpet this week, however, it would no doubt be Blake Lively. You'd be excused for absolutely forgetting she had a baby just last December: she was a sight to behold in that crimson Monique Lhuillier gown, and again in a sheer jumpsuit by the same designer.
Whether your summer plans involve sitting by the pool or curled up in an air-conditioned room; whether you want to work in fashion or are just intrigued by this fascinating industry—these are fashion books you have to read this summer. Covering designers, photographers and industry legends—one thing's for sure, you won't be short of inspiration.
Here's what you should be reading for the ultimate in fashion, besides Vogue of course!

Big name models and seemingly a pretty big budget make for one highly watchable new summer video campaign from retail giant H&M. The campaign features an “exclusive” track by Axwell /\ Ingrosso that works hard to be a kind of summer anthem. As for the concept? Gorgeous supermodels Natasha Poly, Doutzen Kroes, Adriana Lima and Joan Smalls get called, Charlie’s Angels style, to a remote beach on a mission that’s, well, basically to walk in a slow-motion fierce frontline looking hot.
Check out the video after the break.

Mondrian mode
Mondrian patterns make a splash on summer's biggest staple, colour-blocking, where layered hues make way for tiled versions.
Arcade fire
The eighties is officially never going out of style and is revisited via colours and patterns that bring to mind video game parlors, arcade machines and retro jukeboxes.
Frugal florals
Yes, florals for spring will never be ground-breaking, but what's the season without some bloom? See this season's offering, with controlled and seemingly carefully placed florals.
Architectural digest
Sharply constructed coats, jackets and gowns et al, make way for summer-ready crop tops and minis for doses of design with a touch of architectural flair.
Uniform matters
Tailored separates (always with a touch of homme) are given an off-beat treatment.
Slick & slouchy
Razor sharp cuts, sleek as they are, can't beat how slick you can look with this season's slouchy separates. The key is in the pairings.
Miss (mis)print
Unorganised, unaligned and seemingly riotous: these are the keywords for the print lover this season.
Undressed
With illusionary geometric peekaboos and cut-away dresses sashaying down, the runway definitely had a naughty spring to its steps.
The honour roll: Weeks after the shows, here's what we are still talking about in the Vogue office.
King of shade
Tarun Tahiliani's cool take on eyewear.
The star moment
Gauri Khan for Satya Paul for a collection infused with feral energy, and a ramp that heightened the same.
Turning heads
Ugochi Latoya Igwilo, for being the model who logged the most number of double-takes.
The formidable book-ends
Sabyasachi and Anamika Khanna started and ended the week, respectively, on high notes. While Sabyasachi's nostalgia-infused show was held offsite at the Richardson & Cruddas Mills, Anamika Khanna did away the need for a ramp and had her collection showcased on the grand stairway at the Palladium Hotel. Monochrome reigned supreme on the stairway, while smoke and a film noir ambience enveloped the iconic Byculla mill. Both designers ensured that the 15th year of Lakme Fashion Week was stamped with memorable outfits that stayed true to their much-loved idiosyncratic individual style.

Kiran Nagarkar's Bedtime Story & Black Tulip is probably one of the most important releases of the year (and it comes in the year that sees releases by Harper Lee, Salman Rushdie and Amitav Ghosh)—so, that's saying a lot. The book features two titles in one—a play (Bedtime Story)and a screenplay (Black Tulip), which will be published together.
Reviving a previously censored work, especially in the current climate of increasing bans and censorship, is a milestone for publishing in India. Bedtime Story was heavily censored back in the 1970s is finally in print and on stands, three decades after it was first written. Nagarkar launched his play and screenplay in the capital this March and will launch the same in Mumbai today.
Kiran Nagarkar's Bedtime Story & Black Tulip releases today.
Here are three things Vogue discovered about the prodigious writer.
He has rewritten the Mahabharata (in parts) and it is glorious!
Bedtime Story was written in 1978 and came as a reaction to the Emergency of 1975. It subsequently became a target for fundamentalist Hindu organisations. "No one had the guts to publish my play back then," he adds. Now 36 years later, Bedtime Story's first print edition is on stands, and is as relevant today. The play rewrites some of the most important scenes from the Mahabharata—Eklavya doesn't cut his thumb off and Draupadi makes it clear she isn't a chocolate cake that can be divided among five brothers. It bravely takes on one of India's most dangerous ailments—our collective apathy.
He is one of the most underrated writers of postcolonial India
Nagarkar's work has been met with hostility from various factions—be it extremist groups to writers from regional languages who are reluctant to accept a bilingual writer, and in India we are not very welcoming of literary writers in English without the required ratification from the West—read Booker, Pulitzer, etc. He has, however, won the H.N Apte Award for Best Debut Novel and the Sahitya Akademi Award. His novels Seven Sixes Are Forty Three (1974) Ravan And Eddie (1994) and Cuckold (1997) are masterpieces. The vibrancy of his language, and ability to tackle sex, religion and history with irreverence, black humour and empathy make him one of the most important writers of our time.
Ravan And Eddie (1994) and Cuckold (1997) by Kiran Nagarkar.
Cuckold taught him about love
Nagarkar says that writing Cuckold taught him more about love than anything else. "It is complex, the woman is in love with some one else and refuses to join her husband in bed—but at the end he admits that she was the only woman for him. Love is not just for lovers—it's all kinds of love, it is complex with real dilemmas. Just the fact that you don't even know you love someone and then when you do it comes likes a bloody slap on your face."
Bedtime Story and Black Tulip will be launched today at Gallery MMB, Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, 6 pm.
Let's count the ways we are Team Blake Lively. She's a successful actor, has great taste (her site Preserve is curated with some unique finds), is a master chef, is married to the dishy Ryan Reynolds, mother to James (I mean can you even imagine those genes?), is blessed with that hair and body, and did we mention has impeccable style?
So it's little wonder that we stalked the internet for glimpses of what she was wearing to promote her new film The Age of Adaline. And boy, did she make our heads spin!
Always a master of mixing high and low, street and sophistication, print and colour—all without the help of a stylist—this time around Lively delivered the ultimate street style parade with up to 10 outfit changes a day!
Here are the lessons Vogue's taking into its wardrobe this year, and you should too.
Lesson 1: When in doubt, colour-block.
Think of this as Lively's ode to op-art. A graphic sheath dress and coordinated coat in bold hues is nothing short of traffic-stopping, and great for transitional weather. The look was incredibly modern.
Clothes call: Dress and coat, Roksanda; pumps, Christian Louboutin
Lesson 2: Embrace sharp summer dressing.
A sexy halter neck, fresh floral print, unexpected turquoise shoes; even when it's searing hot outside, it doesn't mean fashion should take a back-seat. This look is so resort ready, whether you're in the city or on vacation.
Clothes call: Dress, Lindsey Thornbug; Pumps, Christian Louboutin
Lesson 3: Denim always rules.
An embellished pair of boyfriend jeans, oh-so-casually worn with a white cropped tee, and a marshmallow pink jacket. We're copying this look head-to-toe stat.
Clothes call: Denim, Rialto Jean Project; Coat, Roland Mouret; shoes, Stuart Weitzman
Lesson 4: A full dress is a wardrobe star
Sweetheart necklines, appliqué and prints, with a hint of décolletage—the new full skirted dress is sexy and sweet.
Clothes Call: Look 1- Dress, Ralph & Russo; Shoes, Stuart Weitzman. Look 2- Dress, Zuhair Murad; Shoes, Christian Louboutin
Lesson 5: Update a fashion classic.
A wrap dress can be considered a basic (and a new mother fail-safe!) but with graphic motifs and a bold hue, it's suddenly so current again. Lively amped up a wardrobe staple with tribal-esque shoes (a great nod to the season's trend) and stacked bangles.
Clothes Call: Dress, Kristinit; sandals, Alexa Wagner
Lesson 6: Pastels can pack a punch
Monotone can be magic and all the more so when it's in such a yummy shade. This head-to-toe pink look redefines the idea of a power suit with its nod to the seventies.
Clothes Call: Cushnie et Ochs
Lesson 7: Embellish, embellish and embellish!
A little black dress is a little black dress is a little black dress. But when it has metallic threadwork, or a bold printed and embellished koi fish, it becomes a work of art.
Clothes call: Look 1- Dress, Antonio Berardi; shoes, Sophia Webster. Look 2- Dress and jacket, John Galliano; shoes, Sophia Webster
Lesson 8: Don't lose the focus.
A fringed skirt; wide-leg palazzo pants, a statement belt—all strong, bold looks that need nothing more than clean separates.
Clothes Call: Look 1- Skirt, Balmain. Look 2- Trousers, Balmain
These delicate drop necklaces have become the new basic in our jewellery wardrobe—and why wouldn't they? They're the perfect accessory to amp up the sexy quotient in your plunge neckline shirt or dress.
Wear it as is with a simple low neck tee and jeans, or layer it with a few of your favorite chains and an airy summer slip dress—The Lariat is a great way to add length to your look.
Vogue is crushing on how Rosie, Kylie Jenner and Shanina Shaikh have styled theirs. Still confused? Take cues from Rosie Hungtinton-Whiteley who is a huge fan of the jewellery trend and totally works it on and off the red carpet. She has nailed the jewelry fad on the beach, red carpet and even just casually strolling about town.

It’s not just the hair, those big, sexy, unapologetic locks that melt body and volume into natural curls, it’s also the fierce attitude, the eyes that burn with a wild fire, the glorious physique that calls for praise and recognition. Tarla Barbosa is a prancing lioness throughout, one that stuns regardless if she’s rocking a bare body, or a plaid shirt, one unveiling every layer of herself for Vivia Tan’s lens.
