HOMEGROWN BEAUTY: San Francisco’s Beauty Company store founder Sherri Ziesche is set on developing a full lifestyle brand with the bath and body products line she launched in 2012. Ziesche Modern Apothecary will dabble in the men’s market with a shave oil due out before Father’s Day and will focus this year on expanding the wholesale business nationally. Additional skincare products for men and women are expected next year, along with a Ziesche-branded store. “It’ll be a total lifestyle brand and it’ll continue to evolve into many categories,” said Ziesche. “I wanted to start off small with bath and body.” The plant-based line currently consists of a hand and body wash, body lotion and bath salts. Last year Ziesche built out the brand’s e-commerce business while expanding to the Los Angeles-area market via American Rag’s Los Angeles and Newport Beach stores. A Ziesche-branded store would likely open in San Francisco, given the Beauty Company’s local following, Ziesche said.
