Marios Schwab Meets Fiorelli: London-based designer Marios Schwab debuted his accessories collection with British firm Fiorelli in London on Thursday. Schwab has worked up a seven-style collection that spans totes through to clutches to boxy cross-body bags, in fabrics such as crocodile-printed faux leather, faux pony skin and faux snakeskin. Schwab also worked plenty of details from his own ready-to-wear collections into the designs, such as the metal anchor charms that appeared in his fall 2014 collection, or the staple details from his spring 2015 line. “What I really liked about the company is they really know how to work [the materials] that they use,” said Schwab. “I appreciate the way it’s stitched, the way it’s crafted together.” Sue Tebbitts, brand manager for Fiorelli, said that the firm “felt the time was right to do a capsule collection…and felt that [Schwab] suited our brand.” Tebbitts also noted that she expected the collaboration to last for more than one season. Prices for the line start at 55 pounds, or $81, and rise to 150 pounds, or $223, and the collection will launch with Fiorelli’s stockists in September and via its e-commerce site, fiorelli.com.
