MILAN — Andrea Guerra, the former chief executive officer of Luxottica Group SpA, was listed by Italy’s La Repubblica newspaper on Monday as one of the possible candidates to succeed Giuliano Pisapia, mayor of Milan. On Sunday, Pisapia revealed that he would not run for a second term beginning in 2016. Last fall, Pisapia was said to have offered Guerra a role as city representative on the board of Milan’s prestigious Bocconi University. In December last year, Guerra was appointed senior strategic adviser for business, finance and industry to Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. Guerra, who left Luxottica in September, was part of Renzi’s entourage during his recent trip to Australia for the G20 meeting and is expected to function as a liaison with the industrial world, zoom in on problematic situations and offer solutions. Guerra is also a member of the steering committee of Strategico Italiano SpA, the holding controlled by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), a joint-stock company under public control.
