Selfridges Names Director of Men’s Wear and Head of Accessories Buying

Selfridges has promoted two members of its buying team to senior roles, the retailer said Wednesday. Bosse Myhr, previously buying manager for women’s designer wear, has been named director of men’s wear and technology at the store. Myhr’s role is effective immediately, and he will report to Sebastian Manes, Selfridges’ buying and merchandising director. Myhr joined Selfridges in 2012, and the store noted that he has been “instrumental” in a number of its projects, such as the launch of Selfridges’ Designer Galleries in fall 2014, and its spring 2014 campaign Board Games, which was themed around a fashion take on the worlds of skate-boarding and surfing. Myhr replaces Terry Betts as men’s wear director, after Betts left the firm to pursue new projects. Selfridges also on Wednesday named Eleanor Robinson as head of accessories buying. Robinson was previously buying manager for men’s wear at Selfridges, and the store said that she will play “a crucial role” in the development and launch of its new accessories hall, which will be positioned at the Duke Street entrance to the store.
