Twice Names NBA All-Star Andre Iguodala Men’s Wear Style Director

Twice, a secondhand clothing e-commerce platform, has tapped NBA All-Star Andre Iguodala to serve as men’s wear style director. The Golden State Warriors shooting guard and former Olympian met Twice founders Calvin Young and Noah Ready-Campbell through Ben Horowitz, a venture capitalist who has invested in the site and jumped on board. “Joining a revolutionary e-commerce platform has been a goal of mine since I moved to the Bay Area, and I look forward to helping Twice fuel their tremendous growth,” said Iguodala, whose role is effective today. Along with being a brand ambassador, Iguodala will oversee the direction of Twice’s men’s marketplace and have an undisclosed equity stake in the company as compensation for his role. His duties include choosing seasonal and themed look books and helping create original content, which will include a video shot inside his closet that highlights how Twice works. Shoppers can also expect limited-edition Twice “shops,” selling the 6-foot, 6-inch player’s former clothes. Young and Ready-Campbell, both former Google employees, wanted to build a better eBay and launched Twice with women’s wear in 2012. Users can send in gently worn clothing and Twice staffers will photograph and list the items in its marketplace. Similar to the consignment model,
