Karl Lagerfeld Gets Film Poster Treatment

CARTOON NETWORK: What’s playing at the Karl Lagerfeld Cineplex? Take your pick: “Fifty Shades of Karl,” “King Karl,” “Karl Bond” or maybe “Karl Alone,” the latter co-starring his pet cat Choupette. Tiffany Cooper whipped up all those faux movie posters and unveiled them at the Karl boutique on Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris Thursday night. The illustrator, who has created a capsule collection for Karl boutiques debuting in April, is also working on a comic book about Lagerfeld, with the 170-page tome due out in September. Cooper enthused that the designer is open minded about the way he is depicted, so she’s already drawn him waterskiing, in a Jacuzzi with Choupette and burning up the dance floor in a discotheque. Actress Emily Ratajkowski, who got her break in Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” video, knows a thing or two about the latter. She just wrapped “We Are Your Friends,” her first film in a lead role opposite Zac Efron and Wes Bentley. “It’s a coming of age drama, not unlike ‘Saturday Night Fever,’” she explained, describing her character, Sophie, as a “cool girl” with a lot of style caught in a love triangle.
