It was evening of bold hues and one-tone wonders at the 60th Filmfare Awards.
Going the neutral route for the evening were Deepika Padukone in Ashi Studio couture, Shraddha Kapoor in Shehlaa by Shehla Khan and Pernia Qureshi in a nude Nikhil Thampi. And the subtlety ended there.
A vision in minty green, Kriti Sanon chose a Gauri & Nainika gown with floral details, followed by Sonali Bendre in a fresh orange Saloni number. Evelyn Sharma and Manasvi Mamgai both chose Swapnil Shinde for the night: the first in a mango yellow, the second in an iridescent peachy-blush. Neha Dhupia and Nargis Fakhri flirted with bold blues. While Dhupia picked an elegant Alpana & Neeraj gown, Fakhri tried a quirky Sonaakshi Raaj ensemble.
The best ethnic look of the evening was undoubtedly Sonam Kapoor, wearing yet another Anamika Khanna couture beauty with Sunita Kapoor jewels. Dia Mirza's citrus-hued sari was a close second, followed by Rekha in a tangerine drape, and Vidya Balan.
Then there were the ladies in black. Nikhil Thampi was a popular choice for the evening, with both Ileana D'Cruz and Kalki Koechlin in his ebony designs. Sophie Choudry went more decadent in a baroque Monisha Jaising number. And in a rare moment of OTT glamour, Tabu walked in shimmering head to toe in Vizyon.
